BEGINNER’S QURAN READING

*This course is spread over 3 terms and does not require any prior knowledge of Arabic. A term is approximately 15 weeks.

Introduction to the Arabic alphabet, vowels, words and sentences for the complete beginner. Recitation of selected surahs with option to memorise short surahs.

Duration of class~ 60 minutes

TAJWEED

*This course is spread over 3 terms and requires a prior basic fluency in Arabic reading. A term is approximately 15 weeks.

Term 1 

Introduction to Tajweed, What is Tajweed,, Importance of Tajweed, Articulation Points (Makharij), Characteristics of Letters (Sifaat)Rules of Tajweed- Qalqalah, Rules of Nun, Rules of Meem and Compulsory Lengthening, Practe of Surah al Fatihah.

Term 2

Application of Level 1 Rules in Recitation, Etiquettes of Recitation, Rules of Starting, Stopping, Continuation, Rules of Raa and Merging.          

Term 3

Application of all rules in recitation practice, Special words in the Quran,  Focus on fluency, Consistency, Stopping and Restarting.

Duration of class~ 75 minutes

Fee ~  £195 per term     (Fee includes course materials)

ARABIC LANGUAGE

*This course is split into 4 parts  (spread over 6-8 terms) and requires  basic Arabic reading and writing skills. A term is approximately 15 weeks.

Part 1

Introduction to grammar- nouns, prepositions, pronouns, compounds and vocabulary with Madinah Arabic book 1.

Part 2

Dual and Plural Nouns, the Broken Plural, Numbers 1-10, Colours, Sentence Structures, Basic Verb Conjugation, Sentence Structures and Vocabulary with Madinah Arabic Book 2

Part 3

Numbers 11-20, Direct and Indirect Object, Root Words, Verb  Conjugation, Tenses, Negative Particles, Complex Sentence Structures  and Vocabulary with Madinah Arabic Book 3.

Part 4

Quranic Vocabulary and Quranic Grammar with analysis in the Quran.

Duration of class~ 60 minutes

Fee~  £195 per term
